Thomas Markle broke his silence over Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's controversial biography, Finding Freedom. The senior Markle told the couple this is not the best time for them to be "whining" as the world is still grappling with the COVID-19 pandemic.

In an interview with The Sun, Thomas finds it the "worst time in the world" for Prince Harry and Meghan to be "whining." He criticized his daughter and even said he didn't "appreciate" what she had become when he learned the issues she had with the Royal Family.

Speaking from his home in Rosario, Mexico, Thomas told the publication this is the wrong time to complain about anything as "people everywhere" feel the pandemic's effect. Although she admitted he loves his daughter, he doesn't like the person that she is now.

He even talked about the claims that the Sussexes rejected the idea to ask for help to protect him as the coverage about their romance started to grow. Thomas explained that the fact the royals advised them to get assistance and refused to do so is "incredible news for him."

Meanwhile, Meghan's fans defended her on Twitter over her father's latest attack, Express noted. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's followers showed their support to the former actress and shut down all the claims made by her estranged dad.

They believe Thomas should be supporting his kid instead of speaking against her in public. Twitter user Jackie said that a decent father should do was to help his daughter, but not Thomas. Instead of holding her up, he's back against her again.

Stay Sahay added Thomas has no respect for his child, and it is a sad thing. Hence, it leads to the question if he indeed loves his daughter, questioning his real purpose and who he is trying to convince.

Sahay continued that he should let Meghan breathe with all the things she is going on with her. Also, she said she would on broken glass for her kid, but Thomas might not do it.

Thomas has been talking to the press about Prince Harry and Meghan for the past two years. So, one Twitter user suggested he is not in the position to talk about them. Another one finds his remarks as an insult to the two.

Francine Braverman even said that, when Thomas goes low, Meghan will, undoubtedly, go high. Meanwhile, The Sun cleared that Prince Harry's father-in-law didn't get any pay for his interview and the latest story.
