Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly want a baby daughter sooner than later. The Duke of Sussex is hoping to raise a "mini-Meg" close in age to his son, Archie Harrison.

A source revealed that Prince Harry and Meghan are confident about a smooth and healthy second pregnancy. Meghan has apparently been taking good care of her health and body through a meticulous diet and exercise routine.

The Duke of Sussex is keen on having a baby girl and Meghan also believes that a daughter would be a dream come true. But if the pair has another boy then the baby would be loved just the same as the most important thing is to have a healthy and happy second child just like Archie.

Archie celebrated his first birthday in May in Los Angeles amid the coronavirus lockdown. The source said that his parents would like for him to have company as he grows up.

Meghan planned on joining a Mommy and Me class in Los Angeles so that Archie could interact with other kids. A close friend said that the Duchess of Sussex knows Archie has to learn social and emotional skills from children since he's been mostly interacting with adults. But the Duchess of Sussex is apparently too well-known to be able to join a group class for moms and their babies.

Meanwhile, claims from the book Royals At War from authors Dylan Howard and Andy Tillett revealed that Meghan's first pregnancy announcement was a major controversy within the royal family. Howard and Tillett said that the Duchess of Sussex embarrassed Prince Harry because she revealed her 2018 pregnancy just as the royal family was celebrating the wedding of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank.

The authors wrote that Meghan made a social gaffe by spilling her sensitive condition during the Brooksbank's wedding reception, drawing a furious reaction from Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York and mother of the bride. The Sussex pair officially announced the pregnancy three days later as they embarked on their royal tour of South Africa.

Sources, however, told Harper's Bazaar that Meghan didn't tell Princess Eugenie and Jack's wedding guests of her condition, negating the claims from the book. The royal family was aware of the Sussex royal's pregnancy prior to the wedding but only saw Meghan and Prince Harry in person that day thus many expressed their congratulations in that event.
