Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly not a "bankable" pair and may likely fail to launch their careers in Hollywood, according a royal expert.

Royal journalist and biographer Christopher Wilson, who has covered the Royal Family for more than 20 years, said that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are simply "red carpet fodder." The bestselling author said that that the Duchess of Sussex, in particular, has not received offers from producers within her former industry.

Speaking with Daily Mail, Wilson said that other royal journalists have yet to hear of even one all-powerful Hollywood studio boss approaching Prince Harry and Meghan. He believes that the couple, once deemed a powerful pair in the UK, apparently "broke the magic" that makes them appealing to the public when they left the royal life.

Wilson further described Prince Harry as a castaway stuck in an island, when he used to be "king of the high seas." He speculated that the royals might be questioning their decision to leave London.

The comments come as another royal author said Prince Harry is struggling to find his place in Los Angeles. Tom Quinn believes that the Duke of Sussex was likely swept along by the positive energy of his wife but he didn't have any clear motive for his post-royal life.

Quinn said that Prince Harry had structure and order in the Royal Family, but that he has yet to find his footing in Los Angeles, five months since moving to the city.

However, representative of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex shut down the observations of these royal experts. Prince Harry and Meghan apparently plan to launch their new charity, Archewell, in Los Angeles but they won't make the mistake of rushing things.

A well-placed source told Vanity Fair that the Sussexes are taking their time to get Archewell right. Since this charity will be their lifelong endeavor, its development should be carefully thought out, the source said.

The source also said that whatever Prince Harry and Meghan are currently doing for the Black Lives Matter movement, the COVID-19 crisis and their various talks and summits will be tied to Archewell. The couple is also reportedly working with tech companies in a campaign against hate speech, all of which is to be revealed once Archewell is activated.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex originally planned to launch Archewell in April. However, sources said that the charity might be officially online by early 2021.
