Selena Gomez has always dreamed of collaborating with her best friend Taylor Swift. The 28-year-old star revealed her "musical collaboration aspirations" when she joined Twitch's Animal Talking streaming talk show.

Gomez and Swift have formed a close friendship over the years. Their relationship has remained solid so it is fair to say they will have a musical collaboration at some time. Justin Bieber's ex-girlfriend teased that it could "happen in the future."

Gomez says they have talked about working together. So it may only be a matter of time before they start collaborating. As she says "you never know" when it will begin.

Meanwhile, Gomez talked about her new album, Rare. She said she is making new music and found it funny that she never feels she is working on a new LP. Although she doesn't see herself in that "headspace as much," she is still proud of what she does, Elle reported.

Gomez's comments come after Swift dropped her latest album, Folklore, and her debut single, "Cardigan." According to Daily Mail, the 13 Reasons Why producer promoted Swift's new album in a post on Instagram. She said Swift had done it again, pertaining to the surprise release of Folklore.

Talking about their bond, the "Lose You to Love Me" hitmaker revealed they feel like a family. She has known Swift for about 13 or 14 years, describing her as her best friend.

In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Gomez revealed she and Swift both went through s*** at the same time. The latter taught her how she should be treated at a young age.

Gomez says Swift has "showed up" for her in ways that she never expected. At the time, she was going through stuff with her family.

She and Swift don't agree on everything but they have respect for each other. She also described their bond as "fast and powerful."

Gomez knew from the time she met Swift that she would always have her back. Even if she can forgive people who have hurt her, she is not sure if she can do the same with anyone who hurts her best friend.
