Agents of SHIELD series finale is coming next week on ABC with its two-part epic events. So, expect a lot of happening and big moments. Fans are going to see whether or not the SHIELD will make it out until the end, whether the timeline would be stabilized, and what the future holds for the remaining agents.
ABC doesn't give too much information about Agents of SHIELD series finale, but it could bring epic twists and turns. The title of the first part is "The End is at Hand," and we could see the central actions and big battles happening here.
Meanwhile, the second and final part is titled "What We're Fighting For," which is a line said by Coulson. It would likely honor the legacy and journey of all the characters and represent what each of them is fighting for since the beginning.
The series finale is all about preserving the timelines, with most of the agents jumping through different eras to save everyone and stop the Chronicoms. Although it's sad to see the series is coming to an end, it's also exciting to see how all the loose ends will be tied up.
In addition, the final installment may symbolize the things that the Agents have forgotten to do. They often put their lives on the line for the sake of their missions -- giving up living an ordinary life. They don't usually do human things as they constantly focus on saving the world.
Meanwhile, the promo of Agents of SHIELD series finale teased that a big battle is coming up. Nathaniel and Sibyl, in particular, are doing whatever they can to destroy the SHIELD. But, the agents won't back down and they'll do everything to stop what these two are planning.
The synopsis notes that Nathaniel and Sibyl are inching closer to eliminating SHIELD from the history books. The agents need to rely on their strengths to outlast and outsmart the Chronicoms. This important fight takes the help of friends and teammates from the past and present to survive.
The series finale mat bring some familiar faces joining the agents to defeat their enemies once and for all. And after all of these, it would be nice to see the cast appearing in other MCU future projects since SHIELD has been part of this world from the beginning.
Agents of SHIELD series finale airs on Wednesday, Aug. 12, on ABC.
