Prince Harry and Prince William’s bond inspired a lot of people. Even though the brothers are born royals, their relationship had always been very relatable.
Just like most siblings, Prince Harry and Prince William, also, had their issues. The Duke of Sussex even said last year in the ITV documentary Harry & Meghan: An African Journey that he and his brother are on “different paths” now but assured everyone that they will always love and support each other.
Now, a new report claims that Prince Harry and Prince William are set to end their alleged feud. Palace insiders, reportedly, told authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand that the relationship between the royal brothers is very important to the monarchy. One allegedly said that they cannot have Harry and William at war.
Another source said that Prince Harry and Prince William’s popularity is crucial to helping the monarchy survive. Because of that, they are urged to end their rift.
“We need to design a system to protect the monarchy full stop. The future of this monarchy relies solely on the four people currently in Kensington Palace. The public popularity only lies with them. When [Prince Charles] becomes king, the only way it lasts is if the four of them are not at war,” the tipster said.
Speculations about Prince William and Prince Harry’s feud started in February 2019, and events after that ignited the rumors even more. The Sussexes, suddenly, removed themselves from their joint foundation with the Cambridges, which seemingly confirmed the rift between the famous couples.
Despite their tight bond, Prince William and Prince Harry were rarely seen together. When the public finally sees the Dukes together, they didn’t appear to be as close as before anymore.
Earlier reports claimed that Prince William voiced his concerns to Prince Harry regarding how fast his relationship with Meghan Markle was going. While the Duke of Cambridge only meant well when he advised his brother to slow things down, the Duke of Sussex, reportedly, didn’t take it well as he saw it as criticism.
Prince Harry was, also, upset that he felt Prince William was not being supportive of his relationship with Meghan Markle. This event led to their fall out.
Earlier this year, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced that they would step down from being senior royals. Two months later, they officially withdrew from their roles.
