Kwon Mina wants to call off a police investigation on the bullying she experienced during her time as a member of AOA.

According to a report by All Kpop, the Gangnam Police Station announced that they started an investigation on Mina's bullying allegations against AOA leader Jimin on August 10. The investigation was based on a complaint filed by a long-time fan of AOA.

AOA's recent scandal broke out after Mina revealed that she was bullied by Jimin for a long time when she was still a member of AOA. She also posted evidence including chat messages showing Jimin's abusive behavior toward her. Mina also claimed that she attempted to self-harm herself several times because of it.

As a result of the bullying allegations, Jimin eventually stepped down from the group and retired from the entertainment industry.

In the aftermath of the scandal, Mina once again tried to take her own life and posted shocking images of self-harm on her social media account last week.

In her alarming post, she called out her former label FNC Entertainment, Jimin, and Jimin's best friend Seolhyun and said that if she dies, they should compensate her family for the mental distress that her predicament brought them.

She was rushed to the hospital for treatment after her current agency, Woori Actors, called police and emergency services to respond to her suicide attempt.

However, now that a police investigation is underway, Mina and Woori Actors are opting not to participate in the questioning to prevent the issue from blowing up even further.

In a statement, Woori Actors said that Mina and the agency want the police to cease the investigation. They said that Mina does not want the investigation to proceed due to her unstable condition.

Mina is currently taking some time off to focus on her mental health after her latest suicide attempt. Her agency said that she is resting in her mother's house.

The agency also said that they will not schedule any projects for Mina in the meantime so that she could focus on getting better.

Mina recently deactivated her Instagram account after she apologized to fans for causing them to worry once again. She also said that she made peace with FNC's CEO Han Sung Ho after they met personally. She also promised fans that she will not do something like that again, Korea Joong reported.
