BTS is not just known for their music and dancing skills, they are also considered as heartthrobs. RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook are arguably seven of the most sought-after bachelors in the world.
That being said, an I-LANDer asked advice from BTS about his looks during their stint on the South Korean survival reality show. Since visual is highly important in the K-pop world, one of the trainees asked RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook if what he should do to avoid having wrinkles.
Geonu explained that he has monolid, which is why he gets wrinkles on his forehead when he looks up. He then asked how to avoid having them.
Mr. Worldwide Handsome Jin, who never even had acne his whole life, didn’t understand the question. Suga tried to make Geonu’s concern clearer by saying that he wants to stare without getting wrinkles.
While Jin still looked confused, RM shared that he could relate to Geonu’s concern. The BTS leader said that it’s quite hard not to use the forehead when looking up.
“I know what he’s talking about. This is really hard. Some don’t reveal their forehead because of this. My double eyelids are hidden, but I get wrinkles on my forehead when I look up like this. This is stressful,” RM said.
Even though Suga understood Geonu’s question, his expression shows that he didn’t realize having wrinkles on the forehead is a concern. (Watch the clip here). As for Jin and Jungkook, they tried a bizarre technique to avoid having wrinkles while looking up.
Instead of just looking up like normal people do, Jin and Jungkook looked like they rolled their eyes way back that they could almost see their brains. (Watch the clip here).
J-Hope burst into laughter while the other boys brightly smiled. The I-LAND trainees also laughed at Jin and Jungkook’s method, even Geonu got embarrassed with his inquiry. “I think I asked a wrong question,” he said. (Watch the clip here).
After they all settled down, RM told Geonu that practice makes perfect. The BTS leader told the I-LANDer that, “Opening your eyes without using other muscles takes practice.”
It is, also, worth noting that Jin and Jungkook were just being silly. Of course, they understood how important it is to look presentable as an idol. Jungkook was heavily criticized in the past for having acne, so he knows what it feels like to be less confident. However, the Golden Maknae learned to love himself and accepted his flaws.
