Jimin and V call each other soulmates because they’ve been friends since they were young. The duo is also born in the same year. But just because their bond is deeper than friendship, that does not mean that the pair can’t be savage towards each other anymore. In fact, V recently judged Jimin’s attractiveness in the most brutal way possible.
The BTS boys showed up in Episode 7 of I-LAND to give out presents to the trainees and explain a new mission. RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook also read the I-LANDers’ concerns, such as K’s worries about his looks.
K explained that he is struggling with his confidence after seeing how handsome the other trainees are. BTS looked confused with his question as they find him to be attractive.
V then explained that attractiveness is not just about having a handsome face. The “Sweet Night” singer shared that one must know their “charming quality.” He added that being handsome is different from being charming.
Suga interjected and said that it was easy for V to say those things as he is both handsome and charming. V shyly smiled and continued with his explanation. (Watch the clip here). He said that good grooming is very important as it can create a vibe that makes people notice someone’s charm rather than their looks.
Following Suga’s lead, Jimin also interrupted his soulmate and said that V is already handsome and charming. He then added that “it’s unfair.” (Watch the clip here).
But, unlike V’s reaction to Suga’s compliment, he decided to be a little savage with Jimin. “I’m talking about you!” V exclaimed, regarding being charming and not handsome. J-Hope then added fuel to the fire and told Jimin, “He’s talking about you! You’re not handsome. Just charming,” he said. (Watch the clip here).
Being together for almost a decade, BTS knows each other very well. So despite the brutal assessment of V, Jimin knows it was nothing personal. He even fell from the couch from laughing too hard.
But, Suga and Jimin were not joking when they said V is handsome and charming at the same time. It’s no secret that V’s visuals are on another level. In fact, lucky ARMYs who got the chance to meet the BTS star face to face shared that one word comes to mind when they see him — “unreal.”
