Wynonna Earp season 4 episode 5 is coming this weekend on Syfy, with the title "Holy War (Part One)." Nicole is one of the biggest concerns within this episode as something bad may have happened to her. She is not her usual self and it seems like something or someone is controlling her every action.
The promo of Wynonna Earp season 4 episode 5 features Nicole (Katherine Barrell) trying to do whatever she can to protect the people she truly loves. However, the deal she made with the Clantons seemingly had an adverse effect on her.
The clip hinted that Nicole is feeling a physical pain, which could lead to her doing something terrible. It looks like someone possessed her, that is why she can't fully control herself and can't remember some of the things that she did.
In addition, Nicole is in a situation where she could destroy anything or anyone around her. The promo shows Wynonna (Melanie Scorfano) telling Nicole that Waverly (Dominique Provost-Chalkley) is not coming, not after what she did.
Then, a house on fire was shown and Waverly could be inside of it. Furthermore, the clip ended with Nicole saying: "I did something terrible." This episode is the first half of the midseason finale. So, we could expect a lot of twists and turns, as well as big and intense stories.
Also, the synopsis of Wynonna Earp season 4 episode 5 notes that the trouble at the Homestead leads to a payback time for a deadly deal, hinting Nicole's deal with the Clantons. It's yet to be seen whether or not she would be in a better spot before the series goes on hiatus for a midseason break.
In the second part of the midseason finale, the gang races to save one of their own. However, their journey is hindered due to some unseen forces. This episode could leave a potential cliffhanger, leading to more interesting stories in the midseason premiere.
The series wasn't able to finish production as filming was forced to shut down because of the coronavirus outbreak. The good news is that the new installment resumes production after a long break. Cast and crew are back on set to wrap up the remaining episodes of the fifth season. If there won't be any delay, we could expect the second half at some point in 2021,
