Melania Trump shared her surprising thoughts about social media in one of her old interviews. Before the 2016 presidential election, Donald Trump's wife discussed the dangers of social media, according to the Daily Express.

The publication recalled how the now-First Lady clarified her stance against the "baggage" that social media usage entails. She, reportedly, said that she sees the problem of it in the 21st century, adding that it is "very damaging for children."

But, because of her "passion" to help women and children, she encouraged everyone to "guide" and "teach" the younger generations when it comes to using social media.

Melania Trump pointed out that social media has some "positive effects." However, she, reportedly, sees a lot of negativity on it, asserting that many children are being "hurt."

She, later on, revealed that she already stopped using it for herself. Although there were still a few posts on her accounts, she countered that it is not "all the time."

Donald Trump's wife stated that she is not an "attention seeker." As for her decision to get off of social media, she said that it is "not healthy" for her because of the "negativity."

Over the years, Melania Trump has continued to deliver the same message about social media. In 2018, she launched the East Wing's campaign, BE BEST, which tackles three main issues, including youth's well-being, opioid abuse, and online bullying.

Reports said that the First Lady is no stranger to social media bullying. She always receives criticisms and objections in her social media accounts.

One infamous incident when she received a backlash from the public was after her speech for the 2016 Republican National Convention. As it happened, Melania was not "careful" as she included lines plagiarized from Michelle Obama's 2008 speech, according to CNN.

This year, however, the First Lady, reportedly, has "hopes" to avoid the infamous mishap. The publication said that she will make a speech, on Tuesday, for this year's Republican National Convention, less than 100 days before the election.

But, reports said that she, opted, again, not to utilize a professional speechwriting team in making her speech. Instead, Melania Trump, reportedly, relies on her "small circle of staff."

Sources said that this is what she exactly did for her 2016 RNC speech as she "shunned" the help of seasoned speechwriters. She, instead, worked with staff from the Trump Organization, who, reportedly, helped ghostwrite Donald Trump's books.
