Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are planning to produce a TV show about female empowerment and racial equality. The Sussex pair, also, reportedl wants to appear in the series, a source has revealed.

Speaking with Daily Mirror, the source said that Prince Harry and Meghan are teaming up to create a show for the "young girls in today's world." The couple, apparently, want to empower the younger generation as they push for a shift in society.

It comes as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had several meetings with some proponents of the Black Lives Matter movement. Harry and Meghan, also, spoke of empowerment and equality in their recent video calls with various organizations.

In June, Variety reported that the Sussex pair had meetings with TV executives, including NBCUniversal's content studios chairperson Bonnie Hammer, to pitch a top secret TV project. Hammer, apparently, knows the Duchess of Sussex from when she did her TV show, Suits, which was an NBCUniversal production.

Prince Harry is, reportedly, excited about the prospect of working in a TV series as it will give him a chance to use his creative talents. Meghan, on the other hand, is only happy to be back in her niche, albeit just behind the scenes.

However, Hollywood insiders said that Meghan might get a massive paycheck if she decides to return to acting. InterTalent chairman Professor Jonathan Shalit said that Prince Harry's wife could easily snag a $50 million movie deal because people will be curious to watch her comeback on the screen.

Since becoming a member of the royal family, Shalit said that Meghan has acquired a phenomenal pulling power in and outside of America. If her show reboots and she rejoins Suits, the expert predicted that it will be the biggest television show.

Incidentally, Meghan is reportedly receiving royalties for her work in Suits and it is what's helping pay their purchase of a home in Santa Barbara. Suits aired its final episode in September 2019 but its reruns are streaming on Netflix across global territories and this is how Meghan gets her royalties.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry, reportedly, also, has existing TV deals. He'll appear in the Paralympic documentary Rising Phoenix, also on Netflix, to discuss the Invictus Games. He also has an upcoming mental health documentary for Apple TV+, which is his collaboration with Oprah Winfrey. The show's title and release date has not been announced yet.
