Sofia Richie celebrated her 24th birthday without Scott Disick for the first time in two years. The up-and-coming actress showed how she handled their breakup without a sweat as sources said she seemed unaffected.
For the past two years, according to HollywoodLife, Disick took charge of arranging his ex-girlfriend's birthday. Now that they were over, her family and friends put a huge effort into celebrating her special day.
Richie was, reportedly, far from sad as she spent some time with her family and friends in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. A source told HL the trip was "exactly what she needed" after her split from the 37-year-old reality star.
The insider continued that her birthday was quite a "change" for Lionel Richie's daughter since the Talentless founder did not have anything to do with it. Fortunately, she had her friends to help her.
Now that Disick was no longer around, they managed to step up and put together "one special moment after another" for her. They first set-up a birthday dinner with her family, followed by a trip to Mexico with her closest friends.
Richie wanted her mom, Diane Alexander, her mother's best friend, and her older brother, Miles, to come with them, too. They used her dad's private jet and stayed in a private villa on the beach.
The Frankies Bikinis model looked in high spirits in her shared photos on social media while on-board the private jet. Some of her guests were the Frankies Bikinis CEO Francesa Aiello and Kylie Jenner's BFF, Stassie Karanikolaou, and former assistant Victoria Villaroel.
Jenner was invited, too, but could not make it. The self-made billionaire wanted to bring in her daughter, Stormi, but the trip was not for kids, so she chose not to go. Although she was the sister of Disick's former partner, Kourtney Kardashian, she remained good friends with Richie.
Also, a different source told Us Weekly Richie was not "upset" about her break up with her former boyfriend. She had an extensive support system behind her, getting a lot of "love and support" from her family and friends. Her birthday getaway was, also, the perfect distraction for her.
Richie and Disick, initially, broke up in May after news about his brief rehab stint emerged. After two months, news broke that they were back together.
However, they put a pause on their relationship once again after Disick wanted to put much of his attention to his kids with Kardashian. After two weeks, they, reportedly, officially broke up.
