Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, and Prince Andrew have continued to hold their royal titles as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and Duke of York. Despite quitting and stepping back from their royal duties, Queen Elizabeth, alongside the British Monarchy, did not strip them off of their dukedoms.

Amid all the continued controversies surrounding these British Royals, a British politician called out the royals and asked them to lose all of their titles, according to the Daily Express. He shared his thoughts on social media and even countered some of the netizens' responses.

In his "scathing" post on Twitter, David Kurten, who is a London Assembly member, said that Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, and Prince Andrew should have their titles "removed." He specified the royals' dukedoms, Sussex and York, to reference what he asked them to lose.

Kurten ended his post by stating that the City of York and the County of Sussex "deserve better." Many of his followers seemingly agreed and shared their sentiments under the post.

Several netizens, who claimed to be citizens from the city and county, said that they "could not agree more." However, many questioned the politician about his inclusion of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Some individuals asked Kurten as to why Meghan Markle and Prince Harry need to lose their Duke and Duchess titles. Others even defended the Sussex couple, adding that they have done nothing wrong.

However, the majority of the Twitter users that participated in the "debate" argued that Meghan and Harry's "hypocrisy" is what makes them "annoying." As for others, they countered that the former Suits actress does not want anything to do with the British Royal Family, adding that it makes no sense why she needs to retain her royal titles.

Meanwhile, almost all of the netizens on the thread appeared to have agreed that Prince Andrew should lose his title as the Duke of York. But, there are still a few individuals who said that the Queen's son has not received any conviction, nor proven to be guilty of the crimes that many have continued to allege.

Speaking to the same publication, Iain MacMarthanne, previously, said that Meghan Markle could not lose her royal titles, especially the Duchess of Sussex honor, simply because Queen Elizabeth did not give it to her. He contended that the former actress automatically became the Duchess of Sussex because she married Prince Harry, to whom the Queen gave the dukedom.
