Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had to cancel their visit to Balmoral, Scotland this summer due to the pandemic. The Duke of Sussex is, reportedly, upset about not being able to return home and join his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, at her favorite home for the summer.

According to In Touch, Prince Harry is "upset" about missing out on this annual family tradition, where they can simply relax and let loose. But, his wife thinks otherwise since Meghan is, apparently, more focused on decorating their new mansion in Santa Barbara, California.

Over the weekend, Prince Harry's brother, Prince William and his family, made it Balmoral before the Cambridge children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, have to start school this September. According to reports, Queen Elizabeth was happy to finally see her great grandchildren in person after five months in isolation, while Kate Middleton is said to be "over the moon" to reunite with the monarch.

Prince Harry and Meghan were supposed to join the royal family after receiving an invitation from the Queen before the world changed in March. According to The Sunday Times, the Sussexes accepted the monarch's invitation to stay in Balmoral for the summer but then no one anticipated the global crisis.

Despite cancelling the trip back to the U.K. as a safety precaution, Prince Harry said that he's loving his life in sunny California. The Duke of Sussex, also, said that he's grateful to have a house where there's a vast outdoor space for him and his son, Archie, to play and explore, in their Montecinto mansion.

Prince Harry opined that there are many families, who live in high-rise buildings who do not have the chance to enjoy nature as much as they can in these last five months. So, to have a home with spacious greenery makes Prince Harry feel pretty lucky.

The Sussex pair, initially, chose to stay in Vancouver after deciding to step back from their royal life in January. A few months later, Prince Harry and Meghan moved to Los Angeles, where their work is mostly concentrated but they couldn't do much since the country was on a lockdown.

However, sources said that the Sussexes decided to move again in Santa Barbara because this was more to Prince Harry's liking. The Duke of Sussex, apparently, didn't love the crowds and the vibe of Hollywood but preferred the more peaceful life in Montecito.

Prince Harry, however, declared, in a recent video conference, that he will definitely be back in London in 2021, in time to celebrate the World Cup. The royal is hopeful that things will be good for travel by then.
