Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, reportedly, received a "seven-figure" offer to have a podcast show on Spotify. A source said that the company, which is worth over $30 billion, will present its proposal to Meghan's agent in the U.S. in the coming weeks.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are, apparently, the latest talents that Spotify wants on their platform and its executives are ready to pay the royals for whatever price they demand, according to Daily Mirror. The offer comes after Spotify signed up Michelle Obama in July and her podcast series has been a hit with listeners.

The Sussexes are no strangers to the podcast format since they have done radio and podcast appearances in the past. Prince Harry and Meghan pretty much know what happens in a podcast show and are comfortable with sharing their stories. Their profile as speakers and popular personalities, also, kept them in the radar of the streaming platform's bosses.

Amid reports that their speaking engagements are in the back burner due to the lack of events, the Spotify deal seems at the right timing, especially when Prince Harry and Meghan have mortgage to pay. According to royal expert Katie Nicholl, Prince Harry and Meghan need to make money after buying a house in Montecito, California without any financial help from Prince Charles. They stepped back as working royals and professed their need for financial independence.

But, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex also have plans to produce a TV series about empowerment and racial equality. The royals, reportedly, pitched their ideas in June to several executives in Hollywood, including NBC, where Meghan used to have a TV show. Details to the top secret project, however, are kept under wraps. Representatives for the couple, also, don't want to comment on the report on Variety.

A source, however, said that Prince Harry is excited about doing a show since it will be a chance for him to display his creativity. Apparently, Prince Harry sees this as an opportunity for growth and developing new skills. However, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made it clear that Meghan will not be returning to acting, despite offers for her to do a new film.

Hollywood insiders said that, with Meghan's new profile, the former actress could easily ask for a $50,000 deal per movie. However, the Duchess of Sussex no longer wants to star in her own show or film. She would rather work behind the scenes as a producer if their plans to start producing kick off.
