Prince William and Kate Middleton share three kids. They welcomed their first child, Prince George, two years after their wedding in 2011. Princess Charlotte followed two years later. Meanwhile, they had their youngest, Prince Louis in 2018.

All of the Cambridges were not able to meet Princess Diana, except for the Duke himself. Unfortunately, the Princess of Wales passed away years earlier before the royal-born Prince met the Duchess of Cambridge.

With this at hand, many royal fans and watchers have, reportedly, wondered how Princess Diana would be like as grandmother to the three young royals. But, as the public continues to imagine, the late Princess's firstborn son shared how she would be like, according to Cheat Sheet.

Speaking to the documentary, Diana, Our Mother: Her Life and Legacy, Prince William described Princess Diana as a "nightmare grandmother." He even added that she would be an "absolute nightmare," particularly for him and Kate Middleton.

The Duke of Cambridge explained that his late mother would certainly "love" Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis "to bits." However, it would be an "absolute nightmare" because the Princess of Wales would likely come at bath time, and "cause an amazing scene," like "bubbles" and "bathwater" all over the place, and then leave.

Following his jokes about his mother, though, the royal-born Prince "admitted" that Princess Diana would undoubtedly be a "lovely grandmother."

Prince William further shared in the documentary that he and Kate Middleton always ensure to "keep Princess Diana's memory alive," according to the Daily Express. He revealed that they always try to talk to the young Cambridges about the late Princess of Wales, their "grandmother."

The Duke said that they have photos of "Granny Diana" inside their home, adding that it is very "important" for the kids to know who she was. He, also, stated that the Duchess herself tells the kids stories about her mother-in-law. But, the royal-born Prince noted that it is "hard" since his wife did not know Princess Diana personally. So, he makes an effort to give the details, as much as possible.

Last week, Prince William and Prince Harry recently released a joint statement ahead of the 23rd death anniversary of their mother, according to People. The rare announcement from Kensington Palace has since revealed that the installation of the statue of Princess Diana will proceed on July 1, 2021.

Reports said that the statue to honor the Princess of Wales will stand in the "garden" of Kensington Palace, where the late Princess previously lived.
