Melania Trump broke her silence ahead of Melania and Me's release on September 1. She slammed the author, Stephani Winston Wolkoff, who claims to be a "former friend" of the First Lady of the United States. Through her chief of staff, the public has learned East Wing's thoughts about the memoir and the author.

Speaking to People, Stephanie Grisham deemed Wolkoff as "dishonest." Her descriptions come after the claims that the author "secretly recorded" Donald Trump's wife during her time inside the White House.

While Wolkoff has yet to confirm or deny the recordings, Grisham said that it is by definition, "dishonest," considering that she calls herself the First Lady's "best friend."

Melania Trump's chief of staff continued and declared that the book is "full of mistruths and paranoia." She, also, said that Stephanie Wolkoff based her material on her imaginations, needing "revenge."

Stephanie Grisham ended up describing Wolkoff as a "deeply insecure woman" and a person who wants to be "relevant." She added that the author tries to build herself through Melania and Me while "belittling and blaming" everyone.

Reports recalled that Stephanie Wolkoff worked for the Trumps following Donald Trump's victory in 2016. Being a close friend to Melania Trump, the family "hired" her for her expertise in organizing events.

In 2017, she joined the East Wing as an "unpaid" adviser. She helped plan the president's infamous inauguration, which, also became the starting point of the downfall of her friendship with the First Lady.

A year after working closely with Melania Trump and Donald Trump, they, reportedly, "ousted" Wolkoff, according to Just Jared. She described it in her book as a "scapegoating" following the controversies that surrounded the inauguration in 2017. Instead of stating that the First Couple fired her, she, reportedly, insisted that they threw her "under the bus."

Politico reported earlier last week that Stephanie Wolkoff's Melania and Me centers mainly on Melania Trump's "icy" relationship with Ivanka Trump. She, also, included several allegations that she and the First Lady planned the "Operation Block Ivanka" ahead of the inauguration in 2017.

Aside from the shocking claims about Melania's alleged tension-filled relationship with the First Daughter, Wolkoff, also, brings her readers closer to the real Melania Trump. She even described the First Lady, whom she calls her "former best friend," as a person one cannot trust.

The First Lady's former friend, then, said in the book that Melania does not place importance on other people's "wants and desires." She even, reportedly, wished to have the same kind of confidence that Donald Trump's wife has, alongside the ability to put herself first above all else, without thinking of others.
