Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have signed a deal with Netflix for a TV series, films and children's shows. The news wasn't a shock to a lot of royal fans as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were heavily rumored to join the entertainment industry after their royal bow.

However, royal fans aren't too happy with the news. A recent poll revealed that Britons have no interest in watching Markle and Harry's new Netflix TV shows.

On Sept.  3, Express carried out a poll asking: "Will you watch Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's new Netflix shows?" Ninety-five percent voted "no," 5 percent said "yes," and less than 1 percent chose "don't know." Voters also took to the comments section to explain.

"Currently considering ditching Netflix altogether because of this. I pay for professional content, not some amateurs with a woke mission. Might as well go back to watching the BBC," one said. "I would sooner watch paint dry," another one said.

Markle and Harry have decided to step back as senior royals to focus more on their family and charities. The pair also wish to have a more "peaceful life" after they were bombarded with hate and criticism by the news media and public.

Now that they are not working royals, Markle and Harry have some extra time on their hands to do other things. While they were once tied to their hectic royal obligations they now have the liberty to pick the things that they will put their time and effort into.

Several reports claim Markle will return to Hollywood. She was an actress before she met and married Harry in 2018 - so the entertainment industry is an easy choice for her.

Markle and Harry said in their withdrawal announcement that they wished to be "financially independent." Although they still receive funds from Prince Charles and the Duchy of Cornwall, the couple needs to find sources of income.

Reports said Markle and Harry will create their own TV company. Rumor has it that the couple will be providing voiceovers and producing documentaries about "worthy causes" and this is where they will be earning their money. Now, the couple has confirmed these speculations after signing up with Netflix.
