Actress Hwang Jung Eum filed for divorce four years after she married professional golfer Lee Young Don.

Soompi cited a source, who claimed that the actress filed for divorce by mediation at the Seongnam branch of the Suwon District Court. The news was confirmed by Hwang Jung Eum's agency C-Jes Entertainment in a statement.

According to the label, the actress was in the process of filing for divorce.They said they were assisting her so that the process would proceed smoothly. C-JeS Entertainment further asked the media to respect Hwang Jung Eum's privacy as she goes through her personal matter. They sought understanding because they could not reveal the details of the divorce publicly.

It can be recalled that Hwang Jung Eum married businessman Lee Young Don, a former pro athlete in February 2017. She gave birth to their first child in August of the same year.
