Prince William and Prince Edward have become some of the most active British Royals following Megxit. Several royal experts even claimed that the Queen's youngest son seemingly replaced Prince Harry's position in terms of their royal responsibilities.

While the Earl of Wessex and the Duke of Cambridge have shown a united front during their recent public appearances and engagements, the Daily Express recalled a "brutal" row that happened in the early 2000s. Reports, later on, claimed that this caused their relationship to turn "sour."

In 2001, Prince William continued his education at St Andrews University. Speaking on the documentary, Edward & Sophie: The Reluctant Royals?, royal commentator Richard Kay recalled that the Duke of Cambridge had an agreement with the press to ensure his "privacy" inside the university.

The deal centered on the young royal's privacy, and that the press would not follow him as he pursued his "university career." However, Prince Edward's production company "ignored" the deal, and cameras once followed the eldest Wales Prince inside the vicinity of the school.

The future King, reportedly, spotted the camera crew inside the campus. Following the scenario, he had the university security drive them off, and lodged a complaint against his uncle, alongside the production company.

The Daily Express added that Prince Edward asked Buckingham Palace for advice on filming. Despite the Palace's warning for the crew to leave St Andrews, they made an "excuse" and had some shooting.

Queen Elizabeth's former Press Secretary, Dickie Arbiter, later on, revealed that the Earl of Wessex's production company consulted him about the matter. He said that he made it "very clear" to stay away from the university in consideration of Prince William's deal with the press.

Unfortunately, the crew did not follow the advice, which "annoyed" the royal aide, adding that he "stepped back" from his consulting role for the production. Alongside Arbiter and the Duke of Cambridge, the incident, also, "angered" Prince Charles.

Royal correspondent Robert Jobson wrote in his 2006 book, William's Princess that Prince William was "furious." He added that Prince Charles "went ballistic."

Author Katie Nicholl had the same claims about the Prince of Wales. She previously said that Prince Edward's eldest brother was "apoplectic."

Several sources echoed the claims and alleged that the Earl of Wessex received an "angry call" from his eldest brother. The insiders stated that the Heir Apparent had gone irate, and even branded his youngest sibling as a "f***ing idiot."
