Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are making a fresh start in the U.S. after they officially withdrew from their senior royal roles at the end of March. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are trying to make a name for themselves outside the Royal Family.

Now, a new report claims that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to appear in a TV show celebrating the 100 most influential people in the world in 2020. Each year, Time magazine publishes a list that includes artists, activists, and politicians. The event will be broadcast live on American television for the first time, according to E! News.

“In a year in which we are unfortunately unable to convene the TIME100 community together in person, we are excited to celebrate the extraordinary achievements of the members of this year's list with a brand-new experience on ABC that will allow more people to participate than ever before,” TIME studios president Ian Orefice said.

E! News reported that Jennifer Hudson, Halsey, and The Weeknd will perform at the event, which will take place on September 22. The outlet also shared that several famous people will make an appearance, including Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have not confirmed nor denied the report as of this writing.

Meanwhile, many were not surprised when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced that they struck a deal with Netflix. After the couple turned their backs on royal life, they were heavily speculated to be joining the Hollywood scene.

Meghan Markle was an actress before she married Prince Harry in 2018. With an acting background, she and the Duke of Sussex heading to Tinseltown makes a lot of sense.

Before Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their withdrawal, the former actress gave everyone a taste of their possible future job by lending her voice to a Disney documentary titled Elephant back in August last year. A video also showed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex with Bob Iger at the London premiere of The Lion King, where the pair hinted their interest in working with the Disney CEO.

Now, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are residing in the U.S. with their son Archie. There are many speculations regarding their withdrawal, but actor Laurence Fox believes that it may be because the former actress was “denied limelight” in the U.K.

Laurence Fox noted that Meghan Markle’s background as an actress gave her an “enormous ego” and the “desire to be the center of attention.” After not getting what she wanted in the U.K., the 42-year-old English actor, singer-songwriter, and guitarist claimed that the Duchess of Sussex suddenly didn’t want to be a part of Prince Harry’s world.
