A Million Little Things season 3 is filming in Vancouver at the moment. Fans could expect a lot of stories once the upcoming installment premieres at some point in the fall on ABC. One of the biggest storylines here is the future of Eddie Saville (David Guintoli).

A Million Little Things season 3 picks up the massive cliffhanger that transpired at the end of season 2. In the final moments, Eddie chose not to break his sobriety. He called his wife, Katherine (Grace Park), to tell her how much he loves her.

But, in an unexpected turn of events, Eddie was hit by a car upon crossing the street. The episode ended, leaving his fate in question. This is something that will be explored in the new season and it seems like it will be addressed immediately once it premieres.

In a new interview with TVLine, showrunner DJ Nash made it clear that the upcoming installment will continue where things were left off in the season 2 finale. He confirmed that we're going to find out in the first episode whether Eddie is dead or alive.

Nash noted that he doesn't like to share spoilers, but he teased that the accident impacted Katherine and their son, Theo (Tristan Byon). The showrunner hinted that their lives won't be the same anymore after everything that happened.

Eddie's life may completely change in A Million Little Things season 3. If he survives, he could have a new perspective in life. What happened to him may have created something in him, causing him not to be like his old self. But, if ever he doesn't make it, the people around his life need to deal with his death.

Meanwhile, it remains to be seen how much of a presence Guintoli will have in the new season -- no matter what Eddie's outcome is. Nash said that they're still trying to figure out this matter due to the current global health crisis and other factors.

The showrunner noted that Guintoli is an incredible partner in the series and they want to continue telling stories about Eddie. Yet, the series comes with unexpected twists and turns -- just like how Jon (Ron Livingston) died. For now, we have to wait and see what the future holds for Eddie.

As for what else is coming, Nash teased what will Gary's (James Roday) love life looks like at the beginning of A Million Little Things season 3. Nash teased that viewers need to simply be patient for scenes with Gary and Maggie (Allison Miller) being together.

A Million Little Things season 3 is set to premiere on Thursday, Nov. 19, on ABC.
