A Million Little Things season 3 has no official release date at the moment. The series faced several filming challenges because of the current global health crisis. But, the good news is that the new installment has started production in Vancouver.

On Thursday, Aug. 27, executive producer DJ Nash confirmed via Twitter that A Million Little Things season 3 begins filming. But just like other shows out there, the ABC series is implementing certain health measures and safety protocols to ensure the safety of cast and crew while shooting.

While Nash said there's no official premiere date as of yet, he teased that they will be back on TVs "very, very soon." The producers probably want to store episodes first before revealing the release date. Yet, there is a huge chance that the upcoming installment could arrive sometime in November.

As for the story of A Million Little Things season 3, one of the biggest questions is the fate of Eddie (David Giuntoli). The season 2 finale ended with a massive cliffhanger, leaving the character's future in question. It remains to be seen whether or not he survived following the car accident.

Also, Gary's (James Roday Rodriguez) will further be explored in the new installment. The character has been through a lot already, whether it'd be relationship issues or health crisis. Now, his story goes in a different direction moving forward.

The upcoming installment will address more of the character's heritage, something that's similar to what the actor has been going through as of late. Recently, he decided to include Rodriguez to his stage name moniker to honor his Mexican heritage.

In A Million Little Things season 3, Gary may experience the same epiphany. It could explore his heritage, similar to what Rodriguez has been experiencing on his own. Also, the actor revealed that Nash was one of the people who brought up his professional name change in him.

Meanwhile, there's a question whether or not Chandler Riggs is coming back as PJ in the new installment. While nothing is officially confirmed at the moment, the character's return is something that Nash is considering.

The executive producer revealed that he is hoping to see the character back in the series, though it's just a matter of when and how. PJ has dealt with trauma and sadness and struggled to find his identity. His story could further flesh out if ever he returns in A Million Little Things season 3.
