A Million Little Things season 3 hasn't started production yet. Just like any other shows out there, the ABC series wasn't able to start filming immediately due to the current global health crisis. But now, it looks like cast and crew could start working in the coming weeks.

Recently, Deadline reported that A Million Little Things season 3 is aiming to start production in early September. There have been previous plans for filming to happen this August, but the series encountered filming issues -- such as testing and following different health guidelines.

Now, if the September filming date schedule will be followed, we could expect the new season premiering later this year. Also, the new installment is part of the 2020-2021 schedule of ABC, alongside Grey's Anatomy season 17 and Station 19 season 4.

However, it should be noted that this is just a tentative plan at the moment and some things might be changed depending on the situation. But, if there won't be too many hurdles along the way, we can see a new batch of episodes coming in the fall.

While there's still uncertainty in the premiere date, A Million Little Things season 3 will deliver a lot of interesting stories once it arrives. For instance, Gary's storyline (James Roday Rodriguez ) might be moving in a different direction and could explore more of his heritage.

This is something similar to what Rodriguez is going through as of late, in which he recently included his last name to his stage name moniker to honor his Mexican heritage. Speaking to TVLine, the actor shared his "deeply personal" decision to reclaim his Rodriquez last name.

He explained that Gary will similarly experience this kind of situation in the new season. Rodriguez revealed that series creator DJ Nash is one of the few people who brought up the professional name change in him and asked him whether or not he wanted his character to also have a Mexican name.

Meanwhile, A Million Little Things season 3 needs to address Eddie's (David Giuntoli) storyline, as well. His fate his hanging up in the air after what happened to him in the season 2 finale. He broke his sobriety and called his wife to tell her how much he loves her. But, he was suddenly hit by a car, leaving his future in question.

As for what else we can expect in A Million Little Things season 3, we could see more significant relationship changes, new arrivals, as well as a few surprises. The central theme won't change, and it'll continue to feature more stories about family and overcoming the pain in the past.
