J-Hope is a member of the biggest boy group on the planet right now. However, he is not the only member of his family who is successful in the field of entertainment.
While most relatives would follow the successful family member’s career, J-Hope’s sister Jiwoo (birthname Jung Dawon) has made a name for herself. The BTS star’s older sibling is a fashion influencer, an Instagram star, and the CEO of a very popular online shop.
On Sept. 11, Jiwoo started her own YouTube channel called MIJIWOO and posted her first vlog on the platform. The concept for her first entry was to give an inside look at her daily life. There, viewers would see J-Hope’s sister working, running some errands, and spending time with her loved ones, including JH’s dog, Mickey, which made ARMYs very happy.
A week later, Jiwoo posted her second video. This time, the 30-year-old fashionista was teaching her viewers how to decorate a flower basket. And just like that, J-Hope’s sister achieved a huge milestone on Youtube.
With just two videos, Jiwoo hits one million subscribers on the platform. It would take years for most YouTubers to even reach 10k subscribers, but J-Hope’s big sis gained 1M in less than a month.
Jiwoo took to Instagram to thank those who subscribed to her on YouTube. She shared that a lot of people have requested her to start a channel and explained the reason why she finally did it.
“Many people have requested it for a while, but I also started the channel because of my desire to showcase some products in the form of a video rather than just photos… as well as my desire to share my work and daily life,” she wrote.
Jiwoo noted that even though she posted her two videos on a Friday, her viewers should not expect that she’ll be posting every week on that day. J-Hope’s sister shared that she had been very busy and didn’t have the extra time to film.
Even though Jiwoo said that she is still not sure about the content of her next video, she told her viewers that she will try her best to film her daily life and work log in the upcoming days and upload the footage next month. Jiwoo’s first vlog has 3.3 million views as of this writing, while her second video has 1.1 million views.
Just like Jiwoo, J-Hope is also a huge fan of fashion. ARMYs have been urging the BTS rapper to launch his own line or do a collaboration with his sister.
