Princess Beatrice has a reputation for being the shy and more withdrawn sister than her sister, Princess Eugenie, so she doesn't have an active social media presence. But royal experts claim that the older daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson actually has a secret and private Instagram account.

Rachel Bowie and Roberta Fiorito discussed Princess Beatrice's private social media profile on the Royally Obsessed podcast. They said that one of her celebrity friends, Karlie Kloss, accidentally posted the account's name, @beayork.

Kloss was celebrating her engagement to Joshua Kushner and posted screenshots of her friends' reaction to tag them on the social media platform. One of these friends was Beatrice.

After the faux pas, Princess Beatrice apparently opted to switch her account to private. The profile is still active today, and remains unverified and kept from public view with only 671 followers.

Royal commentator Omid Scobie confirmed that the account is indeed owned by the York princess. The author of Finding Freedom also said that Prince Harry keeps a secret Instagram profile that's separate from the former official account he shared with Meghan Markle, @SussexRoyal.

Apparently, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice are not breaking royal protocols by having personal pages on social media since they are not working royals like Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Incidentally, Eugenie is the only blood royal with an active but personal and very public social media presence. Their other cousin, Zara, who is also not a working royal, doesn't have an Instagram account but her husband, Mike Tindall, has and often posts carefully curated family updates.

Meanwhile, Princess Beatrice recently shared facets about her scaled-down royal wedding to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi last July. In a video for the Forget Me Not Children's Hospice to announce the winner of the Kids Summer Art Competition 2020, Beatrice revealed that she had "so much fun" on her big day despite the COVID-19 restrictions.

Commenting on one of the submitted artworks of a bear in a wedding outfit, Beatrice made a sweet joke that she likely didn't look as smart as the mascot when she got married. The royal, however, did wear an iconic dress that she borrowed from her grandmother, Queen Elizabeth.

The gown, which the Queen first wore in the 1960s, was created by Sir Norman Hartnell and is now on display at Windsor Castle until Nov. 22. Princess Beatrice graced the exhibit's opening in mid-September but made sure to wear a face mask as a safety precaution.
