Suzy Bae reunited with her While You Were Sleeping with director Oh Choong Hwan and writer Park Hye Ryun for her upcoming drama Start-Up.
According to a report by Kdramastars, Start-Up will be Suzy's third collaboration with Park Hye Run. The writer also penned Dream High where Suzy debuted as an actress.
Suzy said that she is happy to work together with the writer after her growth and improvement as an actress. She also credited Park Hye Run for writing memorable stories that make her heart beat fast.
The Start-Up star said she was also excited to work again with director Oh Choong Hwan because he was very comfortable to work with. Suzy said that the director had a remarkable style and a unique charisma while on set that gives the cast members strength and inspiration during filming.
For Start-Up, Suzy will play the role of Seo Dal Mi, who dreams of becoming the Korean version of Steve Jobs. However, because she comes from a poor family, she is forced to quit school and take on part-time jobs to save money to start her business.
Nam Joo Hyuk will play the role of Nam So Dan, a Math genius who starts a company called Samsan Tech. Unfortunately, his firm is on the brink of collapse. The two characters meet and find strength in each other as they strive to become successful.
Apart from Start-Up, Suzy is reportedly being considered to star as a Korean-American superhero Cindy Moon by the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), Soompi reported.
According to rumors, MCU is eyeing Suzy to play Silk in the superhero franchise. Silk is an Asian- American hero with powers that are similar to Spider-man. After being bitten by a radioactive spider, she develops the ability to make cobwebs from her hands. To develop her skills, she is trained by Ezekiel Sims.
Suzy may also be in the running to play Luna Snow in the MCU. She is currently listed as one of the candidates for the role of movie database IMDB. Based on the character profile of Luna Snow, she was originally a Kpop idol who was kidnapped by the villains A.I.M during a performance for Stark Arena. After she was trapped inside a cold fusion reactor which malfunctioned, Luna's powers were developed. She used it to defeat Joro Spider and A.I.M agents.
Luna Snow's powers include the manipulation of ice. She can create weapons out of the element and survive in extremely cold temperatures.
