All eight tracks in BLACKPINK's first full album ranked high in Spotify's Global Top 50 chart. "Lovesick Girls" also earned the record for being the highest-ranking girl group song debut on Spotify.

According to a report by Soompi, BLACKPINK's title track "Lovesick Girls" landed in the third position in the chart after it was officially released last October 2.

BLACKPINK's collaboration with American rapper Cardi B. entitled "Bet You Wanna" is also doing well in the chart at No. 4. "Pretty Savage" and "Ice Cream" also made it to the Top 10 of Spotify's Top 25.

BLACKPINK's other songs like "Crazy Over You," "Love to Hate Me" and their pre-release track "How You Like That" took the 17th to 19th position while their final song "You Never Know" made it to the 25th position.

A recent list recently revealed that BLACKPINK was the most streamed Kpop girl group on the music platform. With 3.19 billion streams, they beat out fellow Kpop acts TWICE, Red Velvet, MAMAMOO, ITZY, (G)I-DLE, Girls' Generation, 2NE1, GFRIEND, and EXID, who also received hundreds of millions of streams on Spotify.

BLACKPINK's first full album entitled THE ALBUM received a lot of positive reviews from music pundits.

A review from The Guardian's Alex Petridis described the album as pure brilliance from the world's biggest girl band.

In his article, the reviewer likened the entire album to Jennie's scene in the "DDU DU DDU DU" MV where she appeared eating popcorn on top of glittery tank. Petridis said that THE ALBUM was striking, glittery, depthless but rather impressive.

Rolling Stone's Tim Chan also gave a good review to THE ALBUM, especially because of its mix of different music styles and genres. He likened the album to a shot of adrenaline. However, he was disappointed that the album was too short, He said that the brevity of the album made it seem like the party was over just as it was beginning.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is set to be featured in their very own Netflix documentary entitled Light Up the Sky.

The film, which will drop on the streaming platform on October 14, will showcase Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rose's early days as YG Entertainment trainees. With clips and interviews with the members, the documentary will highlight the challenges that the girls went through to reach the top. The film will culminate with BLACKPINK's performance at the 2019 Coachella Music Festival, Digital Spy reported.
