V and Jungkook have always been close. In fact, ARMYs fondly called the pair as Taekook (a combination of V’s real name Taehyung + Jungkook) for their adorable bond.
As time goes by, ARMYs have noticed that V and Jungkook have less interaction and are becoming distant. Fans didn’t take this observation too seriously as they believe there is nothing to worry about.
However, Jungkook admitted in a previous episode of In The Soop that a gap formed between him and V growing up. The “My Time” singer revealed that V was the easiest person to talk to before, but became more reserved as he matured.
“He was the easiest person to talk to before. But as we started spending time on our own, there was a side of things that started to feel a bit awkward with V,” Jungkook said, adding that V used to joke around all the time, but became more reserved now.
As it turned out, Jungkook was not the only one who noticed their gap. V decided to have a heart-to-heart talk with Jungkook in the reality series, where they discussed how close they were before.
Their discussion was a private matter and not just for the show, which is why the whole thing was not uploaded on In The Soop. What was clear is that V and Jungkook have settled whatever gap and awkwardness that was formed between them.
After the episode of their heart-to-heart talk, V and Jungkook became inseparable. In fact, in the final episode of In The Soop, V proved that the awkwardness between him and JK no longer exists as he sat on his lap very comfortably as the boys listened to Suga’s recording of their theme song. And in one of the scenes, instead of waking Jungkook up in the lake house, where the Golden Maknae had been sleeping during the trip, V joined him. The “Sweet Night” singer’s idea of waking JK up was to snuggle with him. (Watch the clip here).
Of course, his technique didn’t work as the Golden Maknae didn’t get up at all. Just like in the earlier episodes, J-Hope, a.k.a. BTS’ alarm clock, finally woke them up.
As expected, ARMYs are extremely happy to see V and Jungkook’s fun and sweet bond again. “Taekook” quickly trended on Twitter after the episode was aired. It is safe to say that the old Taekook is back.
