Peter Phillips, the eldest grandson of Queen Elizabeth, just entered into a timely commercial venture. The son of Princess Anne is now one of three founding officials of the London company XF Medical Limited.

The firm, based in Chelsea, is aiming to deliver quick and accurate coronavirus tests that have the results within 15 minutes. The tests are done at mobile units, which may be conveniently set up at the office, during an event, or in places where crowding is crucial.  Former royal forces medical personnel will administer the tests.

A spokesperson said that the Queen's grandson is involved in the discussions with various organizations about bringing XF Medical Limited's testing kits, should they have a need. However, the spokesperson declined to further reveal details about the venture since this is "commercially sensitive."

Peter isn't the only royal family member with a commercial venture in this pandemic. His sister, Zara, and her husband, Mike Tindall, are endorsers of a rapid testing kit called VHealth Passport that brings the results in 10 minutes. The test results may also be monitored and uploaded in an online app.

This venture, however, is aimed at sports people, the athletes and staff alike -- who have to get back in stadiums and arenas across the country or even abroad because of competitions. The Tindall couple, however, used their tests before they went to visit Queen Elizabeth in Balmoral for the summer last July.

Peter and Zara do not have any royal titles; thus they receive less scrutiny than their more popular cousins, Prince William and Prince Harry. They also aren't bounded by royal protocols as rigid and strict as the Dukes of Cambridge and Sussex.

Princess Anne's children are currently the 15th and 16th in line to the throne but they will likely drop one rank down upon the birth of their cousin's baby. Princess Eugenie, the 10th in line to the throne, is expecting her first child with Jack Brooksbank in early 2021.

In February, the Queen's grandson confirmed that he and his wife, Autumn Phillips, are separating after being married for 12 years. The couple has two girls, Savannah and Isla, whom they continue to co-parent as Autumn hasn't left their marital home.

Sources said that Peter and Autumn are living in separate wings at their Gatcombe Park estate. Peter's work in London apparently contributed to the pair drifting apart as he would only see his family during the weekends.
