Melania Trump accepted Donald Trump's marriage proposal in 2004. A year later, the couple tied the knot in a lavish wedding, which reportedly amounted to $2.5 million at that time.

Upon accepting the proposal, she received a 15-carat, D Flawless, emerald cut diamond ring. Reports noted that the then-real estate mogul bought it for $4.2 million.

The then-model received another ring after their wedding in 2005. A senior gemologist at Queensmith Master Jewellers revealed that the silver band cost over $380,000, according to the Daily Express.

Speaking to the publication, Eddi Norris said that the ring features a classic style, which appears to be similar to an eternity ring. Based on his assumptions, each stone is a one-carat, "internally flawless GIA diamond."

Melania Trump does not wear her wedding ring on a regular basis. She, however, sports it on her right hand when she does.

The jewel expert continued that this can be seen on the First Lady's official White House portrait. She donned her emerald cut diamond ring on the left hand, and the silver band on the right.

Norris explained that this is "not uncommon," adding that many individuals do this when they find it "uncomfortable" to wear two rings together. Her emerald cut diamond ring is not the "most practical choice" in terms of comfortability as it is not "wed-fit." This is likely the reason why she rarely wears her wedding ring next to her engagement ring.

Several reports revealed, though, that the emerald cut diamond ring Melania Trump wears today is not the same ring she received from Donald Trump in 2004. It is the new ring she obtained from her husband in 2015, according to 9Honey.

During their tenth wedding anniversary, the U.S. President gifted his wife another "mammoth" piece of jewelry, which entails a hefty price of $5 million. While the two emerald cut diamond rings look the same, the second one has a much bigger diamond.

It features a "gigantic" 25-carat diamond of the same cut. But, unlike the first engagement ring, the diamond on her new one is not D Flawless, which is reportedly the "top and most coveted" diamond quality in existence.

Despite this, Melania Trump has since worn her husband's tenth wedding anniversary gift. It rarely leaves her finger even during public appearances and engagements.

The First Couple did not seemingly have a grand celebration during their 15th wedding anniversary earlier this year. The White House, however, marked the special occasion with a throwback photo of them dancing together.
