Nobel Prize awarded World Food Programme with the 2020 Nobel Peace Prize on Friday. Following the win, Ivanka Trump took the time to congratulate the humanitarian organization on social media.

She tagged the official accounts of WFP and its chief, David Beasley. She, also, noted that the United States is the "largest donor" to the organization. Hence, American taxpayers must be "proud" of their essential role in the efforts of "alleviating extreme poverty" in the world.

Many individuals, including even some of her critics, approved of what she said about the taxpayers' role. Several others thanked, as well, for sharing the good news.

"Thank you for giving credit" to the taxpayers of the United States for once, a netizen responded. It is an "underrated" post, one argued.

Many of Ivanka Trump's followers, later on, chimed in to praise her for the effort. "Absolutely outstanding leadership," a supporter tweeted, adding "atta girl," at the end. "Magnanimous and graceful Tweet," another individual pointed out.

But, despite all the recognition, other netizens, also, shared their criticisms on the comment section of the post. Several Twitter users noted that she is, once again, making it all about the United States, and likely herself.

Finding a "way to make this about America," a netizen sarcastically posted. "Mentioning the Nobel Prize does not get YOU closer to that prize," a different critic said.

As for others, many individuals seemingly mocked and poked fun Ivanka Trump, as well as Donald Trump. They were implying that the First Daughter is trying to get the attention of her father again.

"It's time to take away daddy (Donald Trump's) car keys," a critic quipped. "Have you told Daddy this???," another commentator mocked.

Meanwhile, there are others who said that she is trying to take credit for the things she and her father did not do. "Trying to take credit for something you have nothing to do with," television producer Jared Kotler replied. "Nice work hiding behind philanthropic tweets while your father terrorizes this country," one detractor claimed, adding that "the evils of nepotism gave you the job you're not qualified to have."

Ivanka Trump's post comes after the United Nations' World Food Programme received the 2020 Nobel Peace Prize from the organization. WFP obtained the honor for its efforts in combating hunger and "improving conditions for peace," according to BBC.

Upon receiving the award, alongside the prize amounting to $1.1 million, the World Food Programme became the 101st winner of the Nobel Peace Prize out of the 107 organizations and 211 individuals nominated for the award this year.
