Big Hit Entertainment earned over 50 billion KRW in revenue for BTS' two-day MAP OF THE SOUL ON:E online concert.

According to a report by All Kpop, the label released the initial number of fans who attended the event. Based on the data, a total of 993,000 fans attended MAP OF THE SOUL ON:E for the two-day online concert.

The minimum cost for the tickets was 49,500 KRW for the multi-screen view package. Other types of tickets were costlier. The simultaneous integrated screen view was priced at 61,000 KRW while the HD and 4K resolution views cost 59,000 KRW and 71,000 KRW. The last two options were exclusively available to Fanclub members.

Big Hit shared that the production cost for this online concert was way more expensive than BTS' June Bang Bang Con The Live.

For MAP OF THE SOUL ON:E, Big Hit applied AR and XR technologies that heightened viewers' immersion into the performances. The label did its best to ensure that fans would feel as close to the experience of attending a live concert using augmented reality and extended reality technologies.

Among the key moments of BTS' recent concert was the run-through of their earlier hits, in addition to the tracks from Map of the Soul: 7 tracks. They made ARMYs very sentimental when they performed their debut song "No More Dream," Soompi reported.

BTS members also showcased their solo tracks to deliver powerful performances in their different styles. Big Hit spared no expense in the stage design and brought in a car and a carousel as part of the production.

While they were performing from a distance, BTS greeted their fans through ARMY on Air. For the segment, the monitor was filled with the faces of the fans who were watching the show.

Upon seeing their audience, BTS members became emotional and vowed to push forward to deliver their own stories and the stories of their fans through their music.

It can be recalled that BTS earned a Guinness World Record for the most viewers for a music concert live stream for June's Bang Bang The Con. Last June's concert drew 756,000 fans from 107 countries to the online concert staged by RM, J-Hope, Jin, Suga, Jimin, V, and Jungkook.

However, they are expected to smash their record with MAP OF THE SOUL ON:E, not only in terms of attendance. It was reported that the audience for the recent concert came from 191 countries.
