Demon Slayer Season 2 is, reportedly, now in the works. A known tipster revealed the anime series' second season is currently in production, making fans go into a frenzy.

Twitter user Spytrue claimed Demon Slayer Season 2's production might have started. Although he simply tweeted, "KNY Season 2 in Production," which meant Kimetsu no Yaiba, fans strongly believed his assertion.

With Spytrue's reputation and track record, a lot are easily convinced by his claim. However, according to Comicbook, others are still waiting for the anime producer, ufotable, to confirm the news.

But with the franchise's continuous hype and fame, it is no surprise Demon Slayer Season 2 is definitely coming. Also, the series is too popular; there is no reason to cut it out, knowing there are many stories it can adapt.

Demon Slayer Season 1 first dropped in April 2019 and ended in September of the same year. It was then followed by a movie, Demon Slayer: Mugen Train, which would pick up where the first season left.

After the movie ends, fans expect the film to announce the coming of Demon Slayer Season 2 through its end credits. As Demon Slayer: Mugen Train is about to hit Japanese theaters on Friday, October 16, viewers may soon get an official announcement about the second season.

So, what will happen in the next installment? Monsters and Critics reported the movie would cover the manga series' Chapter 53 to 66.

Here, Tanjiro and his friends will begin their next Demon Slayer Corps mission with the Flame Pillar of the Demon Slayer Corps, Kyojuro Rengoku. They will be all fighting the Lower Moon One demon, Enmu.

So, Demon Slayer Season 2 will pick up from here. Tanjiru, Inosuke, and Zenitsu will go on another mission with the Demon Slayer Corps Pillar, Tengen Uzui, this time. They will pretend to be women as they begin their new journey to the red light district.

Assuming Demon Slayer Season 2 is now in the works, it may officially be out in 2021. However, fans should only take this assumption with a grain of salt as ufotable has yet to formally announce the new season's production.

Also, the studio has not announced any project announcements for 2021 so far. Anime production usually takes years to develop and ufotable is known for taking its time in working on a new series. So, by the looks of it, it is safer to wait for its official word about Demon Slayer Season 2.
