BLINKS were shocked by BLACKPINK Jisoo's revelation that she was treated like an outcast by her family as a kid because she was ugly.

According to a report by Koreaboo, Jisoo made the revelation during an interview for BLACKPINK's documentary Light Up the Sky. The singer said that she was ostracized by her relatives because of her appearance. She even shared that she was called a monkey when she was younger.

During the interview, BLACKPINK's make up artist lent words of support and told Jisoo not to mind the hurtful words because she is the prettiest one now. Netizens were shocked that Jisoo was ever considered ugly, especially by her own family. She is considered as the main visual and lead vocalist of BLACKPINK.

BLINKs took to social media to send their support for Jisoo. They said that even though she was shunned by those who thought her to be ugly before, she is now being recognized as one of the top faces in Kpop.They called attention to Jisoo's endorsement of major brands.

Jisoo is also set to start her formal acting career after BLACKPINK's promotion for their final comeback. She was recently cast as the lead actress in Snowdrop, a drama that will be produced by the same team behind JTBC's hit series Sky Castle. Jisoo was confirmed as one of the main leads. She will star opposite Jung Hae In and Kim Hye Yoon in her first major drama, Soompi reported

It can be recalled that BLACKPINK members dropped their first full album last October 2 entitled THE ALBUM which was received with massive success.The title track Lovesick Girls debuted at the top of Billboard's World Albums chart and the Global 200 chart. The song also broke through Billboard Hot 100 at No. 59.

BLACKPINK also made history as the first girl group to reach No. 1 on Billboard's Artist 100 chart. The chart analyzes different metrics of music consumption such as album and tracks sales, radio airplay, streaming, and social media fan interaction, to determine to measure artists' popularity, Billboard reported.

According to the music site, BLACKPINK was the first girl group, and the third Kpop act after BTS and SuperM to top the Artist 100 rankings.
