Six months after the first season ended, fans are now clamoring for Dorohedoro Season 2. Netflix once again wowed everyone when it featured this anime series. But despite the several anime shows it offers, viewers still want to continue seeing the reptilian-headed Caiman's story.

Despite being absolute chaos, Dorohedoro has captured the audience's interest. Indeed, it is strange and crazy, but it is one of a kind.

Fans are easily hooked with its exciting plotline, based on the Japanese manga series created by Q Hayashida. Its superb animation is well-handled by its producer, MAPPA, which is also behind other successful anime series, like The God of High SchoolJujutsu Kaisen, and the final season of Attack on Titan.

With the significant impression it left in the first season, will fans see Dorohedoro Season 2? Unfortunately, according to HITC, Netflix has yet to renew the anime series.

But, with its success, there are strong beliefs the show will return. The first season director, Yuichiro Hayashi, even promised he would produce a second season if the first one performed well - and it did.

It has received a number of positive reviews from fans and critics alike. It has an 8.1/10 score on IMDb and a hundred percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Hayashi will also not have any problem with the source material, as it has plenty to adapt. The first season only covered eight out of its 23 published volumes.

In a 2014 interview, Hayashida revealed she just drew Dorohedoro the way she felt drawing it. She admitted she was inconsistent in doing this stuff. Sometimes she would color it with paint used for plastic models.

However, she usually traced paper for it. Without planning the layout, Hayashida revealed she started drawing from scratch and would just end it if she was feeling it.

Hayashida went on to say she did not have any overall story to do in mind. She just went on with the drawing, creating scenes that she wanted to do.

Amid the high hopes, What's on Netflix noted it might still take time before fans would see Dorohedoro Season 2 on Netflix. When the show started airing in Japan, it would take several months before it finally became available on the streaming giant.

The first season went on air for more than a year -- from January 2019 to March 2020. If it goes on broadcast in Japan in January 2021, the earliest time fans can see Dorohedoro Season 2 on Netflix is in May 2021.
