Kylian Mbappe's continued refusal to extend his Paris Saint-Germain contract beyond 2022 could prompt his exit from the Ligue 1 club as early as next year. The French superstar seemed not keen on staying with the PSG after his contract expires and the Parisians might be forced to make a trade deal on the 21-year-old striker.

Reports from France indicated Mbappe has been "showing no fierce desire," to sign an extension deal with the French giants. If the star will keep on his position in 2021, he would be left with just 12 months to go by next summer.

The situation could force PSG to entertain trade deals on Mbappe as the players can walk away for free the following year. To avoid the prospect of losing their investment on Mbappe, the Parisians will just opt to cash in on the star, The Daily Mail reported.

That is seen as the best-case scenario for the Ligue 1 champions because Mbappe intends to bring his game outside of France after his existing PSG deal runs out.

And the France international's possible availability is seen to come at a more suitable time, at least for would-be suitors. Per the same report, Mbappe's decision to refuse an extension from Parc des Princes will lead to his market price tag significantly going down.

It is estimated that from the whopping £200 million-plus value placed on Mbappe, the asking will be downgraded to around £91 million in the absence of a new agreement with PSG. If true, the transfer fee will become more realistic for clubs who have been keeping tabs on the French sensation.

It is understood that two teams are leading the pack of European giants wanting to acquire the perceived generational striker on the account that Mbappe was previously linked with transfer rumors on these clubs.

Real Madrid did try several times in the past to recruit Mbappe and the player did not hide his admiration for the La Liga giants. He is touted to play next for Los Blancos as he has been following the club since he was a young boy.

And it will likely help that Real's manager, Zinedine Zidane, is a fellow French and the two men have mutual admiration for each other.

However, Liverpool could be in the running as well. Mbappe has stated in the past that he is a fan of Jurgen Klopp. He once credited the German for fashioning the Reds as a winning machine.

Meanwhile, Mbappe is focused for now on PSG's Champions League game with Manchester United on Tuesday. According to Metro, the French star is on the lookout for United man Marcus Rashford.

It turned out that Rashford's teammate, Paul Pogba, has reported on the United star and Mbappe only heard glowing words about the 22-year-old forward. The Frenchman is said to be excited to see Pogba's praises on Rashford playing out on the pitch.
