At the end of Chapter 51, Kurama warned Naruto he could make his planned move, but he would die. So, if he would push through with his plan, fans might see the end of the shinobi.
Boruto may handle his enemies alone, without the help of his father. If this happens, Naruto can simply retire without getting killed and regularly appear in the manga series.
