Prince Charles does the sweetest thing with his grandchildren and step-grandchildren with his wife, Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall. He reportedly likes to read Harry Potter to them and uses different voices for the characters.

According to Daily Express, Prince Charles is so committed to this activity with the children that he would even wriggle in bed as he reads. The kids would sit astounded as they watch the Prince of Wales tell the story.

The Duchess of Cornwall said that Prince Charles is quite good with the grandkids. They love his rendition so much that they look forward to his reading sessions with every visit.

However, during the pandemic, Prince Charles wasn't able to have such a sweet experience with his grandchildren because of the lockdown. He also got sick with COVID-19 in late March and spent most of the time reaching out to his family only via video conference call.

The Prince of Wales said, in one interview during the lockdown, that he misses physically giving family members a hug because of the risks of COVID-19. He said that while they have regular video calls, in-person family get-togethers are still different.

Meanwhile, Camilla said that her husband is great at mimicking voices and it's no surprise since Prince Charles had the acting bug in his young life. While studying at the University of Cambridge, the heir to the throne was part of the Dryden Society, which is the college's performing arts group. Queen Elizabeth even came to watch him perform on the stage.

The royal's love for the stage and for acting was something he had in common with Meghan Markle, Prince Harry's wife. Meghan was a former TV star in America before she quit Hollywood to join the royal family.

But, Prince Charles didn't pursue acting after he became the Prince of Wales for obvious reasons. However, he still continues to be the fun grandfather of Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis, Archie Harrison and Camilla's own grandchildren.

According to royal expert Penny Junor, the Prince of Wales had been eager to be a grandfather even before the birth of Prince George. He was eager to tell people that he feels it's an incredibly important role.

Aside from reading to the kids, Prince Charles also guides his grandchildren in gardening activities at his farm in Highgrove. He also surprises the children with a few magic tricks, which he also to master in his early 20s.
