There is little doubt that people are already thrilled with the idea that GOT7 is set for a comeback before the end of the year. However, it looks like the idol group could be releasing a new album much sooner than expected. There are speculations that JB, Mark, Jackson, Jinyoung, Youngjae, BamBam, and Yugyeom will be dropping their new music ahead of the 2020 Mnet Asian Music Awards now that they have been nominated for two major awards.

Earlier this month, it was confirmed that GOT7 is currently preparing for their next comeback. Although the initial report pointed out that the idols will release a new album by late November, JYP Entertainment has since clarified that the exact date of JB, Mark, Jackson, Jinyoung, Youngjae, BamBam, and Yugyeom's return has not yet been finalized.

So is it possible that the original news about GOT7's comeback wasn't as optimistic as fans thought? It was previously reported that Jinyoung and Yugyeom openly spoke about their "big album", confirming that they are done with recording and are currently practicing for major stages. Not surprisingly, Ahgases believed that this meant the idol group have several huge promotions lined up in the following month.

It didn't take long before good news would be announced. On October 29, the nominees for the 2020 Mnet Asian Music Awards were revealed. Amazingly, GOT7 was nominated for three major awards including Best Male Group, Artist of the Year, and Worldwide Fan's Choice.

The nominations were welcome news to Ahgases who are well aware of the impact GOT7 has made on the music industry this year. Some people even pointed out that the idol group was able to achieve all these nominations despite only having one 2020 comeback so far that only lasted for two weeks in promotion.

For now, it has only been confirmed that GOT7 is nominated for MAMA 2020 although fans are hoping they will also perform at the award show. The idol group is also set to perform at the Asia Artist Awards on November 25 along with Super Junior, Twice, MONSTA X, AB6IX, PENTAGON, THE BOYZ (G)I-DLE, IZ*ONE, and international artist MAX.

GOT7's comeback date has not yet been announced but is expected to be confirmed in the first two weeks of November. They are then expected to perform at the Asia Artist Awards on November 25. The 2020 Mnet Asian Music Awards will be held on December 6.
