Fans have yet to hear an official announcement about the release of Kung Fu Panda 4, but they remain hopeful to see Po and the rest of Master Shifu's student on the big screen once again. With the first three movie's success and the promise of the series' continuation, will the fourth movie still come to fruition?

It has been four years since fans last saw the anthropomorphic giant panda on the big screen. With the long wait, fans wonder if Kung Fu Panda 4 will still be in the works.

It cannot be denied that the franchise is a huge commercial success. The third movie earned $143.5 million in the US and Canada and a total of $377.6 million in other countries.

It only means that it grossed a whopping $521.2 million all over the world. Although it is the lowest-grossing film in the series, it is one of the top 20 most profitable releases of 2016, Devdiscourse noted.

DreamWorks Animation Co-Founder and CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg earlier revealed there would be six movies in the franchise. So, Kung Fu Panda 4 is not yet the end of it. He subtly confirmed there would be Kung Fu Panda 5 and 6.

If the fourth movie will push through, fans will get more insights about Po's family and relationships. There are theories Po will go to the Panda village this time and reunite with his dad and other fellow pandas.

However, problems will begin to arise when the undead warrior Kai comes. Fans may also get to see the senior Po teaching his son new skills, like the art of Kung Fu, that may eventually turn him into a Kung Fu master.

Next Alerts noted fans might also see a new villain in Kung Fu Panda 4. Of course, aside from Po, the rest of Master Chifu's students will return to the new movie.

Jack Black will surely lend his voice to give life to Po's character again. Other stars that may reprise their roles as Dustin Hoffman as Shifu, Angelina Jolie as Tigress, Jackie Chan as Monkey, Lucy Liu as Viper, and Seth Rogen as Mantis. Bryan Cranston may also return as Li Shan.

Fans shall take these assumptions with a grain of salt as nothing about Kung Fu Panda 4 has been confirmed yet. For now, all they can do is wait for DreamWorks' official announcement.
