The Lagina brothers, Rick and Marty, are coming back in The Curse of Oak Island season 8. The two, along with their team, will continue with their journey in uncovering the 225-year-old mystery in Oak Island, in Nova Scotia, Canada.

The Curse of Oak Island season 8 is said to be the biggest yet for the treasure-hunting series. Rick and Marty are more determined to solve the mystery of the island following their discovery in the season 7 finale. Despite the current global health crisis, the team won't slow down with their hunt.

The latest installment promises new strategies, as well as new technologies. We can expect them to do strategic dives and a more sophisticated sonic drilling. And of course, metal detectorist Gary Drayton is coming back with his skills in finding the deeply buried treasures.

Reportedly, Drayton will be given a bigger and better metal detector in order to locate the potential tunnels meters away from the surface. In The Curse of Oak Island season 8, the team will focus on then swamp -- the major excavation site to unearth the newly found structure.

Rick, Marty, and others want to uncover the truth whether or not the bog was artificially modified, and why it was created more than 800 years ago. This is one of their biggest discoveries in season 7, which could lead them to unearth the so-called "Money Pit."

In addition, the team found evidence of a ship -- speculated to be a Spanish galleon -- buried beneath. These discoveries in the previous installment caused everyone to step up the game, and now proceeding with their project "Big Dig."

The Laginas used a can in season 7 but only reached a certain distance. Now that they employ the project Big Dig, they will dig farther than 50 feet deep down through the use of more modern equipment. They believed that the speculated treasure was buried due to natural calamities.

The Money Pit is said to be in the Chappel Vault. The CEO of ROC Drilling Equipment, Vanessa Lucido, made a huge effort to unearth this valuable item at the end of the previous installment. However, they ended up in disappointment.

Now, everyone is back in The Curse of Oak Island season 8. Local residents said that big trucks and huge mining machines were spotted, and the road toward the swap is being widened. The trail is expanded since they'll be using heavier equipment, which could potentially cause damage.

The Curse of Oak Island season 8 premieres with an episode "Remote Control" on Tuesday, Nov. 10, on History.
