Lee Hyori's agency stepped in after her statement about making another comeback after five years caused panic among fans.

According to a statement from her agency, ESTeem Entertainment, Lee Hyori was only teasing her fans when she said that it will take another five years for her to return to the entertainment industry. It can be recalled that in her message to fans after Refund Sisters' promotional run, Hyori thanked them for their support. She playfully added that she will see them in five years. She backtracked on her statement a few minutes later and said that if five years was too long, she can consider returning in three years.

Lee Hyori was very active this year as she promoted successfully under two project groups. She first featured in SSAK3, a project group she shared with Yoo Jaesuk and Rain. The group managed to achieve an All Kill for their song "Sumer Sea Again" in June.

Lee Hyori achieved a similar feat when she promoted under the project group Refund Sisters with Uhm Jung Hwa, MAMAMO's Hwasa, and Jessi when they released the track "Don't Touch Me." The special track took the No. 1 spot on the daily and real-time charts of Melon, Genie, Bugs,  Vibe, Flo, and iChart for a perfect All Kill, Soompi reported.

Fans initially panicked over the news of Lee Hyori's potential hiatus because of her admission that she was trying to have a baby with her husband Lee Sang Soon.

Because Lee Hyori has been promoting on and off since her marriage, fans were afraid that she would stay out of the limelight entirely to focus on her family matters. In one of her interviews, Lee Hyori laughingly said that a fan even threatened her husband if she stops promoting because he makes her pregnant, All Kpop reported.

These days, fans treat any interaction with Lee Hyori as precious because the celebrity recently deleted her Instagram account.

According to a report by Koreaboo, Hyori announced that the selfie she posted last September 3rd was going to be her last before she quit the social media platform.

At first, fans thought it was related to the flood of criticism she received when she joked about taking on a stage name with the surname Mao. However, she later revealed that the real reason was that she was spending too much time on the platform that her husband was already complaining. She also admitted that people send her DMs all the time to ask for money.
