Fuji TV announced the coming of the new anime series, Night Head 2041. Based on the live-action psychic suspense drama series with the same name, fans can now see the story of the Kirihara brothers.

Fuji TV has now dropped a new teaser for Night Head 2041, along with a key visual. The promotional image has introduced the lead characters, Yūya Kuroki, Takuya Kuroki, Naoto Kirihara, and Naoya Kirihara.

The original live-action drama, which was out in 1992, follows the two psychic brothers, Naoto and Naoya Kirihara. Their different abilities left them on the run due to persecution they are experiencing, per Spoiler Guy.

However, the anime series will introduce Takuya and Yūya Kuroki instead, who are part of the National Security forces. Here, they will be looking for the Kirihara brothers.

George Lida, the original director of the live-action drama, will write the new anime series. Takamitsu Hirakawa will direct the show, while Slow Curve will handle the planning and production.

Tenjo Bakemonogatari will help with the character design and Kenichiro Tomiyasu will be in charge of the art concept drawing. Lastly, Yutaka Yamada will compose its music.

Aside from the live-action drama, AniRadio Plus noted the title gave birth to different adaptations, like a made-for-TV movie with the same name in 1994, resulting in the making of an entire franchise. It also has its own manga and books.

There was also an anime series based on its story, titled Night Head Genesis, which aired on Animax in July 2006.

With its great potential, it is no surprise that Night Head 2041 has been adapted into different mediums -- and it is all a huge success. Whether it is a movie, anime, manga, or book, it has always turned to be a big hit.

According to Anime Mojo, the expectation is now high for the upcoming anime series Night Head 2041. It will be CG animated and its trailer has helped to perfectly set up its great tone and atmosphere, thanks to its "operatic score and industrialized futuristic cityscape."

Fortunately, the long wait will be soon over as Night Head 2041 is set to be out in July 2021 in the +Ultra programming block of Fuji TV. Fans will finally see the return of Naoto and Naoya Kirihara, hunted by Takuya and Yūya Kuroki, on the small screen.
