Melania Trump made a rare public appearance during the last few days of the campaign to support her husband. Her participation hit the headlines after reports deemed it as her first time to join the rest of the family in campaigning for the U.S. President's bid.

Now that the results are out and Trump's rival has won the race, new alleged developments in the First Lady's marriage emerge. The Daily Mail reported that a former White House aide claims that Melania is now "counting" the time until she divorces her husband.

Omarosa Manigault Newman said that the 15-year marriage "was over." She added that Melania Trump is now in the waiting game until Donald Trump leaves the Oval Office.

The former political aide to the American leader continued that Trump would "punish" his wife if she pulls the "ultimate humiliation" toward her husband while he is still in position This is why many are now seemingly expecting that a divorce will happen once they move out of the White House.

Omarosa's allegations come hand-in-hand with the First Lady's "former friend," Stephanie Winston Wolkoff. She previously told BBC Newsnight that Donald and Melania Trump share a "transactional marriage."

The former White House staff, also, alleged that the First Couple sleeps in separate bedrooms. She discussed the relationship of the Trump couple in detail through her latest book, Melania and Me.

Back in 2017, Donald Trump's wife took her time before she relocated to the White House from New York. It became the talk of the town because it was unusual for a U.S. President to move into the executive residence all by himself.

The First Lady's camp explained, though, that it took her months to move in because of Barron Trump. Reports said that they were waiting for the academic year to end since her only son was attending a school in the state.

Stephanie Winston Wolkoff argued, however, that this was not the case at all. She revealed that Melania Trump delayed her move because they were in re-negotiation of their prenup, adding that the new terms would give their only son an "equal share" of Trump's wealth.

Despite all the claims, though, Melania and Donald Trump seemingly remain silent about the issues. Reports, then, recalled some of their statements in the past, claiming that they have a "great relationship."

The U.S. President even insisted that they never argue. Likewise, the First Lady has since implied that they are happy.
