Fans will surely see Maeve Wiley ( Emma Mackey), Otis Milburn (Asa Butterfield), and the rest of the cast return on Sex Education Season 3. Amid the cancellation rumors, the show remains to have a strong viewership that may even result in the making of Season 4.

Netflix confirmed the coming of Sex Education Season 3 in a post on Twitter. The renewal doesn't come as a surprise, knowing the immense popularity of the show.

The data by CasinoCountdown, via Devdiscourse, revealed the show had a 71% possibility of getting canceled. The said percentage was based on the series' survival scoreboard.

Some of the factors considered for the show's continuation are its duration, format, and viewers' response. According to CasinoCountdown itself, the figures were analyzed through a "logistic regression model" that was 74% accurate.

However, Fox Exclusive reported the new season is now in production, so there is no way that it will be canceled. Series creator Laurie Nunn even said the third season would not conclude the show's story.

Also, Express noted the series is one of the most popular shows of 2019 both in the U.S. and the U.K., so fans can be assured that it will continue to stay up on the air.

Although the series may not run for so many years, the third installment will not be the end of it. Sure, some of the cast members may still want to do other projects, but there may be a chance that fans will continue to see them in a fourth installment.

Anyhow, as the COVID-19 pandemic is still around the corner, it remains to be seen when Sex Education Season 3 will hit the small screens. So, what will happen from here?

The new season would possibly be much intense than the first two seasons. With this, fans can't help their excitement about the new season, expressing their joy on the Twitterverse.

One fan is excited to have something to look forward to. There will also be new characters coming in the new season, as it will introduce Jemima Kirke as Hope. The new character will be the new headmistress of Moordale.

Dula Saleh will also join the show as Cal, the student who falls out with Hope and Jason Isaacs as Peter Groff, Michael Groff's (Alistair Petrie) older brother. Netflix has yet to announce Sex Education Season 3's official release date, but it is expected to be out in 2021.
