EXO and SuperM members Baekhyun and Kai are poised to release their solo projects from November to January.

According to a report by Soompi, Kai is expected to make his solo debut at the end of the month. The self-titled album KAI (开), will drop on November 30, according to SM Entertainment.

Based on the label, the album will carry six tracks. While the tracklist has not yet been revealed, the first teaser has been released featuring Kai in a black hoodie, pants, and boots which tease an edgy vibe for the album. The outfit also hints at fluidity, which could maximize Kai's talent for dancing.

It can be recalled that EXO members have been focused on more solo projects and subunit promotions this year because of the members' enlistment.

After Xiumin and D.O. enlisted in 2018, Suho entered the military last May. After getting married and welcoming his first baby, Chen also enlisted last October. Chanyeol and Baekhyun are expected to enlist next year just as members Xiumin and D.O. are discharged.

Kai will be the fifth member of EXO to have a solo debut. It can be recalled that Baekhyun, Chen, Suho, and Lay have all released solo albums. Xiumin and D.O. have also released solo tracks before they signed on for mandatory service.

Meanwhile, Baekhyun is also scheduled to debut with his first Japanese album in January 2021. The EXO and SuperM member previously did well with his first two solo Korean albums. His Delight album that was released last May became one of the biggest selling albums from a solo artist this year, breaking the one million album sales mark.

The title track "Candy" was also nominated for Song of the Year and Best Vocal Performance Solo at the Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA 2020).

Baekhyun is also nominated for the category of Best Male Artist of the Year while his collaboration with BOL4 for "Leo" also received a nod from the awards show.

According to a report by Bandwagon, Baekhyun's Japanese album will feature the title track "Get You Alone," which as well as "Addicted," "WHIPPIN," "Drown," "Disappeared," and "Stars."

SM Entertainment said that Baekhyun's album seeks to showcase different sides of him as an artist. Each song will reportedly be featured in a limited edition album version and will include photo cards, posters, lyric booklets, and posters. They are tentatively priced at ¥ 3,500 (33 USD), with an additional tax.
