Years have already passed since Barack and Michelle Obama left the White House. While the former First Couple is no longer at the center of the political scene, publications still take interest in the pair's life.

The recent headlines about the Obamas come before the former U.S. President's latest book's release. Gossip Cop laid out some excerpts from the book, A Promised Land, particularly about the former First Couple's relationship. As it happens, the American leader revealed how his presidency "strained" his marriage in some parts of the material.

He wrote that he could always sense his wife's "undercurrent of tension," adding that despite its subtlety, it was "constant." He noted, as well, that the former First Lady's "sources of frustration" became more apparent and "evident."

Barack Obama, also, enlightened his audience on how he would "wistfully" think back to the time before their time inside the White House every night while lying beside Michelle Obama. He shared that his heart would "tighten" when the thought of no longer returning to those days would come to his mind.

The publication, then, said that the former U.S. President's revelations in A Promised Land are proof that his marriage was not always firm. But, despite all the challenges they faced as he leads the country and its people, the tabloids' rumors and allegations about their marriage remain far from the truth.

The reputed publication recalled some of the most infamous rumors about Barack and Michelle Obama. For years, several "trashy outlets" seemingly fabricated stories about their marriage.

Some of these fake narratives include the former First Lady's "expensive tastes," which supposedly caused a strain in her relationship with her husband. There were, also, some claims, accusing the former U.S. President of "cheating."

Gossip Cop clarified that many already dismissed these assertions, including them. However, this does not seemingly stop tabloids and magazines from producing more rumors about the former First Couple. In the end, though, the publication ensured its audience that the truth will always come out, especially that Obama's book is about to arrive next month.

Barack Obama's A Promised Land will officially drop on November 17. Aside from the former U.S. President's revelations about his marriage to Michelle Obama, his latest work, also, takes his readers to the entirety of his journey as the country's top leader.

On the same day of the publishing, his interview with Oprah Winfrey in an episode of The Oprah Conversation will drop on Apple TV+, according to The Futon Critic. The episode will see them discussing the book, as well as other significant events of the year.

The celebrity host said that the book was "worth the wait." She added that the people who would read the book will witness Obama's journey to and from the White House.
