The Crown season 4's breakout star Emma Corrin is receiving a lot of praise for her portrayal of Princess Diana in the Netflix series. However, the actress confessed that she will avoid ever meeting and chatting with Princess Diana's sons, Prince William and Harry, if they ever meet in person.

The 24-year-old newcomer said that she plans on leaving immediately if she runs into one of the brothers at a party. But, she also has some curiosity about how Prince William and Harry might react to her portrayal of their beloved mother.

Corrin said that it would be ignorant of her to say that the dukes' reactions will not matter to her. She will, however, understand if the brothers will have some difficulty watching The Crown season 4 since the latest episodes are mostly about Princess Diana and Prince Charles' failed marriage.

The actress also confessed in another interview during the show's promotion that there is so much pressure to play such an iconic woman. Corrin said that she tries not to think about how Prince William and Harry will react but acknowledged that it is something she cannot control.

Corrin, however, will not have to worry about the reaction of royal fans and critics. Most reviews praise her portrayal of the Princess of Wales as sympathetic and effective. But, friends of the royal family have stated that the Duke of Cambridge feels the Netflix series exploited his parents. It's apparently appalling to Prince William that the streaming platform is making money off a real-life and very difficult experience for their family more than 25 years ago.

Royal observers, on the other hand, are raising their eyebrows because Prince Harry has a multimillion production deal with Netflix. Several critics have called on the Duke of Sussex to cut his ties with the streaming platform after The Crown launched the latest episodes out of respect for his parents. Incidentally, the show also introduces the characters of Prince William and Harry as children.

The Crown creator Peter Morgan said, however, that he makes up a lot of the scenes in his head. The show, after all, is a work of fiction despite being based on real people, many of whom are still alive.

Friends of Morgan, however, think that the royal family appreciates his creative work on The Crown because Queen Elizabeth appointed him the prestigious Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) recognition in 2016. Morgan is also one of the most influential people in British culture.
